Sitio Pungtod, Lawaan III, Talisay City a residential area is on Fire

Houses made of wood materials easily destroyed by fire in a residential area in Sitio Pungtod, Lawaan III, Talisay City. The fire spread out to nearby homes that were mostly made of light materials. The fire reported at 11 a..m. reportedly started from the home of a certain Judilla.

Unfortunately Five year old boy trapped in house as fire breaks out.

The relatives are looking for a five-year-old boy who is believed to have been trapped inside their burning house in sitio Pungsod in Barangay Lawaan III in Talisay City before noontime on Monday.

In the report the boy’s mother, left her son while she and other members of their family panic and scampered to get out of their house.
“She was so rattled  due to fire spread fast that she forgot about her son,”

The narrow road in Sitio Pungtod, Lawaan III, Talisay City a residential area which has close approximate of more than (100)  one hundred houses that close to each other made it difficult for firefighters of Talisay City and Cebu City to put out the fire immediately.

Village chief Delia Ybañez said the affected families will be temporarily accommodated at their barangay hall and covered court gym.

But the affected families cant rebuilt their houses in the area since they occupy private owned lot Village Chief Says in the news.

Ybañez said residents in the area are negotiating with the lot owner to allow them to stay in the area.
